Leslie Nord's Random Thoughts on Friends, Family and Life

I was never much of a writer - more like a rambler that can easily get lost in a tangent. My blog lets me go out on those tangents any time I want to. So remember, life is like a rollercoaster: Sit down and hang on. Sometimes you'll want to scream, sometimes you'll puke, but give it a chance and you'll find it can be a lot of fun.

Bowling

This is probably going to be the last year I bowl - I've inherited my father's degenerative joint disease and the joint in my middle finger is pretty messed up. But I guess I'll go out with a bang - missed a 600 by 4 pins this past Tuesday night.

I want to sign up for the upcoming Pro-Am - Jackson Hewitt Tax Service Classic - Pro-Ams in January. I've always wanted to bowl in one. I took Vanessa to three of them. I even was a scorekeeper for one of them. Oh the lost art of hand scoring.

Somehow I let myself be talked into bowling in the USBC Women's Championships to be held in Reno, NV. Entry fee was $100 - but that's the cheapest part of the trip. Then there is airline fare, hotel, food and then the group is planning on going to San Francisco. Maybe that's why I reluctantly signed up - I want to go to San Francisco. Hopefully, I can save up enough for this trip next June.
